How to pay less at LaGuardia

Every lot you can drive up to at LaGuardia is a garage at the terminals, $75 to $89 a day at the gate.

LaGuardia is the one airport here with no cheap lot to drive up to: the Economy Lot won’t take you without a reservation. So the real choice is booking Economy at $40, booking Terminal A at $50, or paying $75 or more on the day. Terminal C’s garage is the priciest at the gate, $14 a day more than Terminal A’s.

For one night, the walk may be worth it: the gap between Terminal A at the gate and the Economy Lot booked ahead is $35. For a week, that same gap comes to $245, so book early and take the All Terminals Shuttle.

Booking ahead is where the savings are. Every lot here advertises a lower online rate, and the Economy Lot is reservation-only from $40 a day. For a week away, reserving Terminal A Garage instead of driving up saves about $175.

Long trips

Our guide to leaving your car at the airport shows what a long stay costs.

Remember where you parked

Airport garages repeat the same colours and numbers on every level. Take a photo of the nearest pillar sign, or save the spot in an app before you walk to the terminal — after a week away, it’s the first thing people forget. A printable park note keeps the level and row on paper.

Back from the trip? Check if alternate side parking is in effect on your street.
