Privacy

Short version: no accounts, no cookies, no ads, and the street, dates and names you type stay in your browser.

What you type

Every tool runs in your browser. Your street, block, side and trip dates are not sent to us. They appear in the page address (like ?street=manhattan/w-86-st&side=S) so you can bookmark or share a result — anyone you send the link to can see them. Street files are loaded from this website, not from a third party.

Visit counting

We count visits with our own small counter, without cookies or a lasting ID. It records the page, the referring site name (including when a visit comes from an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, noted as ai_src), the country, the device type, how far the page was scrolled, which buttons were tapped (for example “App Store” or “Add to calendar”) and rough tap positions on a coarse grid. Your IP address is not stored: visits are counted with a code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you. Typed values are never recorded.

Calendar files

Calendar (.ics) files are made in your browser and downloaded straight to your device.

Notes, records and car logs

Park Note, the incident record, checklists and the car log are kept in your browser’s storage on your device. They aren’t sent to us. If you use Copy link on a tool that holds your note, the note is in the link, so anyone you send it to can read it.

The Chicago plate search

If you search a license plate on our Chicago towed car page, your browser sends it directly to the City of Chicago’s data service. It doesn’t reach our server, it isn’t put in the page address, and we don’t count what you typed.

The GPS test

If you tap Measure and allow location, your browser reports its accuracy to the page. We show the figure and don’t send your position anywhere.

Recall check

The year, make and model you enter go through our server to NHTSA, the US safety agency, to fetch the list. We don’t keep them.

Contact form

If you write to us, we receive your message and the reply address you give, and use them only to answer.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard request data to deliver and protect the site.
