About Did I Park Right

Did I Park Right is free tools for checking on a parked car: is it safe from the sweeper today, how long it can stay, how to find it, and what to do if something happened to it. You keep the calendar files and printable cards, and the Where Did I Park iPhone app saves the exact spot and walks you back.

It started with one question for people who park on the street or at the airport: how long can the car stay here? We read the cities’ own data — New York’s alternate side parking calendar and street-cleaning signs, Chicago’s winter ban and snow-route streets — and the airports’ own parking prices, then turn them into an answer for today and a tool for your street or your trip.

We are the small team that makes the Where Did I Park iPhone app, which saves where you parked and walks you back to the car. The website came from the question people asked right before they saved a spot: “am I even allowed to leave it here?”

What we do and don’t do

  • We show city and airport data with the date we read it, and link every source.
  • We are not a government agency and not affiliated with NYC DOT, the City of Chicago, the Port Authority or any airport. Posted signs always win.
  • We don’t take bookings or payments, and we don’t collect what you type.

How we make money

Through the Where Did I Park app. It’s free with ads, and Car Finder Plus is $3.99 a month or $29.99 for life. There are no ads and no paid placements on this website. If we ever add booking links for airport parking, we will label them and say so here.
